Pupils are badly prepared for future careers due to a lack of funding

A parliamentary think tank says the education system is failing students by not preparing them for future careers by giving them the skills that businesses need.

The two main reasons provided are that schools are not adequately funded in this area as well as high-staes accountability measures. Career advice is patchy and does not serve the needs of disadvantaged children in particular those with SEN and disability.
